Special Weather Statement issued August 14 at 11:59PM EDT by NWS State College PA

At 1159 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 16 miles south of Lewistown to 12 miles west of
Carlisle to near Shippensburg to Greencastle. Movement was east at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Harrisburg, Carlisle, Lower Allen, Hanover, Waynesboro, Progress,
Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, Gettysburg, New Cumberland, Enola,
Steelton, Shippensburg, Lemoyne, Hampton, Guilford, Plainfield,
Schlusser, Littlestown and Carroll Valley.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
