Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 12 at 6:32PM EDT until August 12 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 632 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Tarentum, or 9
miles north of Penn Hills, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines, resulting in some power
outages.
Locations impacted include...
Penn Hills, Vandergrift, Apollo, Plum, Murrysville, New Kensington,
Lower Burrell, Harrison Township, Oakmont, Arnold, Tarentum, Natrona
Heights, Springdale, Brackenridge, Verona, Leechburg, Freeport,
Cheswick, Russellton, and North Apollo.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for southwestern
and west central Pennsylvania.

building.
