The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northeastern New Castle County in northern Delaware...
Central Chester County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Southern Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 437 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Marshallton,
or near West Chester, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to
roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

* Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, West Chester, Chester, Pennsville, Westtown,
Downingtown, Elsmere, Kennett Square, New Castle, Newport, Arden,
Cheyney, Talleyville, Elam, Marshallton, Lima, Chelsea, Ashland,
Greenville and Delaware Memorial Bridge.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 7.
Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 12 and 23.
Interstate 476 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 1.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough
to be struck by lightning.
