Flood Advisory issued August 12 at 5:06AM EDT until August 12 at 6:00AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Pennsylvania, including the
following county, Allegheny.

* WHEN...Until 600 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 505 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain fell
earlier due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area due to runoff
from the recent heavy rain. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross
Township, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Moon Township,
McKeesport, Franklin Park, Shaler Township, Plum, West
Mifflin, North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Upper St. Clair,
Scott Township, Wilkinsburg, Whitehall and South Park
Township.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
