Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 7 at 5:10PM EDT until August 7 at 6:15PM EDT by NWS State College PA
The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
York County in south central Pennsylvania...
* Until 615 PM EDT.
* At 509 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Dillsburg to Codorus to near Hampstead, moving east
at 45 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
York, Lower Allen, Hanover, Weigelstown, New Cumberland, Parkville,
Red Lion, Spry, Dallastown, Shiloh, East York and
Stonybrook-Wilshire.
Radar has indicated rotation within these severe thunderstorms.
Although a tornado is not immediately likely, tornadoes can develop
quickly during severe thunderstorms.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 239 to 246.
Interstate 83 from mile markers 0 to 40.
These are dangerous storms. To stay safe, immediately move inside a
well built structure and stay away from windows.
Although a tornado is not immediately likely, they can develop
quickly during severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado, act
quickly and move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure such
as a basement or small interior room. A Tornado Watch remains in
effect until 900 PM EDT for south central Pennsylvania.
Very heavy rainfall is occurring with these severe thunderstorms, and
may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
