Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 7 at 4:05PM EDT until August 7 at 5:15PM EDT by NWS State College PA

The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Adams County in south central Pennsylvania...
Cumberland County in south central Pennsylvania...
Southeastern Franklin County in south central Pennsylvania...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 404 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Big Spring State Park to Scotland to
Paramount-Long Meadow, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Harrisburg, Carlisle, Lower Allen, Hanover, Waynesboro,
Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, Gettysburg, New Cumberland, Parkville,
Enola and Shippensburg.

Radar has indicated rotation within these severe thunderstorms.
Although a tornado is not immediately likely, tornadoes can develop
quickly during severe thunderstorms.

This includes the following Interstates...
The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 203 to 239.
Interstate 81 from mile markers 27 to 65.
Interstate 83 from mile markers 41 to 42.

Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for south central
Pennsylvania.

If you spot a tornado, act quickly and move to a place of safety
inside a sturdy structure such as a basement or small interior room.
