Special Weather Statement issued August 4 at 6:30PM EDT by NWS State College PA

At 630 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Williamsport, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Muncy, Watsontown, Hughesville,
Montgomery, Duboistown, Allenwood, Jerseytown, Elimsport,
Lairdsville, Collomsville, Exchange, Delaware Run, South
Williamsport, Garden View, Turbotville, Picture Rocks, Oval and
McEwensville.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
central Pennsylvania.
