Special Weather Statement issued August 4 at 3:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA

At 300 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Williamsport, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Jersey Shore, Muncy, Montgomery,
Duboistown, Allenwood, Elimsport, Waterville, Cogan Station, Spruce
Run Reservoir, Collomsville, Delaware Run, South Williamsport, Garden
View, Oval, Salladasburg, Williamsport Airport and Little League
World Series Complex.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
central and north central Pennsylvania.
