Special Weather Statement issued July 24 at 7:35PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 734 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Williamsport, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Jersey Shore, Montgomery, Duboistown,
Allenwood, Elimsport, Cogan Station, Collomsville, Loyalsockville,
South Williamsport, Garden View, Oval, Williamsport Airport and
Little League World Series Complex.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
