Special Weather Statement issued July 24 at 12:32PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 1232 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Williamsport, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Winds up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Duboistown, Barbours, Loyalsockville,
South Williamsport, Garden View, Picture Rocks, Williamsport Airport
and Little League World Series Complex.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
