High Wind Watch issued July 18 at 4:55AM HST until July 19 at 6:00PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI
* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, northeast winds 20 to 35 mph with
gusts over 50 mph expected. For the High Wind Watch, northeast
winds 30 to 45 mph with localized gusts to around 60 mph are
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Kahoolawe, Lanai, Maui and Molokai.
* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 6 PM HST this evening. For
the High Wind Watch, from this evening through Wednesday
afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Take precautions now to protect property. Tie down loose objects
or move them to a sheltered location.
