Special Weather Statement issued July 15 at 10:10PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 1009 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Mifflinburg, moving north at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Duboistown, Elimsport, Cogan Station,
Spruce Run Reservoir, Collomsville, Loyalsockville, South
Williamsport, Garden View, Oval, Williamsport Airport and Little
League World Series Complex.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
