Description
Borough Council will be voting at the July 13th Council Meeting on the final plan for the Broadhead Road Sewer Separation project. The agenda for the July 13th meeting will be posted on July 11th on craftonborough.com/council-meeting-agenda-minutes.
The Broadhead project is a multimillion dollar construction project designed to separate the sanitary sewers from stormwater sewers on the following streets:
- Broadhead Rd.
- Belvidere St.
- Crennel Ave.
- Coulter St.
- Park St.
- Warren St.
- small portions of N. Linwood Ave. and N. Emily St.
Each of the streets listed above will be torn up during construction and will then be reconstructed, either entirely or partially as part of the project. The Borough did not receive the funding it initially sought for the project, but has worked hard to ensure residents are well served by the project.
The option most likely to be voted on by Council on July 13th includes plans to replace all asphalt paved streets with asphalt, brick streets in good condition with brick, and brick streets in poor condition or on steep slopes with asphalt. If approved on July 13th, the work will not begin until sometime in 2024.
