Flash Flood Warning issued July 1 at 8:59PM EDT until July 1 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 859 PM EDT, Local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Penn
Hills from heavy rain. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, Moon Township, Franklin Park, Shaler Township, Plum,
Hampton Township, Robinson Township, Economy, O'hara Township,
Bellevue, Kennedy Township, West View, Stowe Township, Oakmont,
McKees Rocks and Coraopolis.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
