Special Weather Statement issued June 26 at 8:04PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 804 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Mechanicsburg to Millersville. Movement
was north at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lancaster, Harrisburg, York, Lower Allen, Hershey, Ephrata, Colonial
Park, Weigelstown, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Progress, Lititz,
Mechanicsburg, Middletown, Millersville, Camp Hill, Mount Joy,
Palmyra, New Cumberland and Red Lion.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
south central Pennsylvania.
