Special Weather Statement issued June 26 at 7:10PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 710 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Mifflinburg, moving north at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Lewisburg, Montoursville, Mifflinburg, Watsontown,
Montgomery, Linntown, Middleburg, Duboistown, New Columbia, Kreamer,
Penns Creek, Allenwood, Vicksburg, Elimsport, Forest Hill, Sand
Bridge State Park, Cogan Station, Spruce Run Reservoir and
Collomsville.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central and north central Pennsylvania.
