Special Weather Statement issued June 26 at 6:09PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 609 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
North Side Pittsburgh, or over Pittsburgh, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Ross Township, Monroeville,
Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin, North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin,
Hampton Township, Scott Township, Wilkinsburg, Whitehall, Robinson
Township, New Kensington, Lower Burrell, Munhall, North Versailles,
and Brentwood.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 43 and 58.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 56 and 63, and
near mile marker 65.
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 8.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 64 and 84.
