Flash Flood Warning issued June 23 at 5:13PM EDT until June 23 at 8:30PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

At 513 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1
and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5
to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Philadelphia, Camden, Wilmington, Newark, Gloucester City,
Chester, West Deptford, Pennsville, Bellmawr, Yeadon, Woodbury,
and Carneys Point.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 28.
Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 1 and 23.
Interstate 76 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 331 and 351.
Interstate 76 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 3.
Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 28.
Interstate 676 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 1.
Interstate 676 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 4.
Interstate 476 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 19.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue impacting the
warned area through this evening.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.
