Special Weather Statement issued June 3 at 12:47AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 1247 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near San Marcos to near Stockdale to 7 miles
southeast of Pleasanton to near Charlotte. Movement was east at 75
mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
San Marcos, Seguin, Pleasanton, Cuero, Gonzales, Floresville, Yoakum,
Luling, Jourdanton, Poteet, Kenedy, Karnes City, Poth, Yorktown,
Shiner, Charlotte, Stockdale, Flatonia, Moulton and Christine.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for
south central Texas.
