Flood Advisory issued May 16 at 4:23PM CDT until May 16 at 7:30PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, DeWitt, Karnes and Lavaca.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 421 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2.0 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cuero, Yoakum, Kenedy, Karnes City, Hallettsville, Yorktown,
Shiner, Runge, Nordheim, Hochheim, Thomaston, Westhoff,
Ezzell, Sublime, Edgar, Concrete, Arneckville, Terryville,
Meyersville and Hope.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
