Flood Advisory issued May 13 at 3:42PM CDT until May 13 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, DeWitt, Gonzales, Karnes and Lavaca.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 342 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain in
the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 2 and 7 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, Kenedy, Karnes City, Hallettsville,
Yorktown, Shiner, Moulton, Runge, Smiley, Nordheim, Hochheim,
Cheapside, Westhoff, Thomaston, Ezzell, Gillett, Sublime and
Speaks.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
