Flash Flood Warning issued May 13 at 8:14AM CDT until May 13 at 11:00AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 814 AM CDT, Radar and automated gauges continue indicate
thunderstorms producing very heavy rain across the warned area.
Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Local law enforcement and TXDOT officials are reporting
flooded roadways in portions of southern Gonzales,
DeWitt, and Karnes Counties.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, Kenedy, Karnes City, Yorktown, Shiner,
Moulton, Runge, Falls City, Smiley, Nordheim, Westhoff, Cheapside,
Gillett, Hochheim, Cestohowa, Sample, Gruenau and New Davy.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
