Flood Watch issued May 13 at 3:27AM CDT until May 13 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Atascosa, Bandera, Bastrop, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet,
Caldwell, Comal, De Witt, Dimmit, Edwards, Fayette, Frio,
Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr,
Kinney, Lavaca, Lee, Llano, Maverick, Medina, Real, Travis,
Uvalde, Val Verde, Williamson, Wilson and Zavala.
* WHEN...Through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A slow moving storm system will bring rounds of showers and
thunderstorms today. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches with
isolated 10 inches is possible for areas east of I-35 to near
the Coastal Plains. Additional rainfall of 2 inches is
possible west of this area. Additional rounds of at least
locally heavy rains are possible tonight through Monday. The
Flood Watch may be extended beyond this evening.
