Flood Advisory issued May 13 at 3:01AM CDT until May 13 at 8:00AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Bastrop, Caldwell, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe,
Hays, Karnes, Lavaca and Wilson.
* WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may
become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 301 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Marcos, Kyle, Seguin, Lockhart, Elgin, Cuero, Bastrop,
Gonzales, Yoakum, Luling, Smithville, Kenedy, Karnes City,
Yorktown, Shiner, Stockdale, Flatonia, Moulton, Kosciusko and
Nixon.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
