Description
A burn ban is in effect immediately for New Freedom Borough. Open burning of ANY TYPE is prohibited for the next 48 hours (expires, Friday, April 14 at 10:00AM). Should conditions not improve, the burn ban will be renewed.
Residents should be sure to:
• Safely dispose of any charcoal from cooking
• Fully put out cigarettes
• If you see smoke in any wooded area or field - call 911 right away
