Description
Location: Crafton Park, 117 West Steuben St, Crafton Community Farm is in the fenced area between the Large pavilion and the ballfields. Anyone is welcome to all events, no experience necessary. We provide tools and gloves if you want to help out.
Sunday, April 16, starting at 10 am. New Volunteer orientation. Anyone is welcome! Get a tour of our garden and shed and get all the info you need to be a part of this project, now in our 9th growing season! If you can't make this date and time, but you want to get involved, please text 412-303-4409 or email craftoncommunityfarm@gmail.com and we will arrange for a seasoned garden volunteer to meet you at your convenience.
Saturday, April 22, 10am-1pm. Spring Garden Cleanup. We will prepare beds for planting, do some light weeding, and set up future projects in the garden. We provide all the tools and gloves, no experience necessary. Will be cancelled only in the case of heavy rain or storms.
Saturday, April 29, 10am-12pm. Garden tours in conjunction with Clean Out Day and Shredding event. While you are visiting the park, please come check out Crafton Community Farm, especially our dedicated Children's Garden area. Free strawberry plants will be available for you to take home! Rain or shine.
Saturday, May 6, 10am-1pm. Spring Planting Day. We will be continuing ongoing projects and planting cold-hardy crops. Will be rescheduled to following Saturday in the case of heavy rain or storms.
Saturday June 10, 10am-1pm. Summer Planting Day. We will be planting warmer weather crops. Will be rescheduled to the following Saturday in the case of heavy rain or storms.
Ongoing Open Gardening Hours. Come enjoy learning about growing plants naturally and helping in the garden with other volunteers.

Monday late afternoon/evenings
Tuesday afternoons
Weeding Wednesdays, time to be decided
and more times as we solidify our volunteer schedule.
