Special Weather Statement issued March 29 at 6:13PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 612 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking raind and snow showers
with gusty winds along a line extending from near Wilcox to near
Cadiz. Movement was east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, Moon Township, McMurray,
Weirton, and McKeesport.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 9 and 67.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 43 and 101.
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 41 and 96.
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 13.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 25 and 84.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Motorists
should be prepared for changeable visibility.
