Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge replacement project is scheduled to begin on Allison Mill Road in Manheim Township, York County. The structure, a state-owned bridge spanning Long Run, is located between Route 216 (Blooming Grove Road) and Zumbrum Road on Allison Mill Road, which is a township road.
Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, April 11. The bridge will be closed. A detour will be in place using Route 216 (Blooming Grove Road), Manheim Road (Route 3033), Dry Bridge Road, and St. John Road.
This project involves replacing the existing T-beam bridge with a precast box culvert, guiderail updates, signing, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction.
