High Wind Warning issued March 24 at 9:47PM EDT until March 26 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected
before 2 PM, shifting southwest with gusts up to 60 mph after 2
PM.
* WHERE...Northern Erie County.
* WHEN...From 8 AM Saturday to 2 AM EDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Scattered power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southerly winds will be strong with gusts
up to 55 mph possible before 2 PM. However, the strongest winds
prompting the upgrade to a warning are expected out of the
southwest behind a cold front moving through after 2 PM.
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
