The Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU), along with the Delaware County Right to Educate Local Task Force, is offering a free workshop, Thursday, March 23rd, 6-8 pm, to help parents better navigate the often-challenging roadmap of educating their children with disabilities or learning challenges who may need extra help.
Parents can learn tips on keeping their children with disabilities safe in the community. The free workshop is entitled "Safety in the Community: What Every Parent of a Child with a Disability Needs to Know." The panel discussion will include representatives from local police, fire, cybersecurity and 911 agencies.
A Zoom link will be sent via email on the day of the training. One must be registered to receive the link. There is no cost to attend, but registration is necessary. Parents must register for this session by 4 pm on Monday, March 20 by clicking https://forms.office.com/r/HWwPrkVZDP
