Special Weather Statement issued March 2 at 8:57PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 857 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles southwest of Gonzales to 11 miles north
of Campbellton. Movement was east at 95 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cuero, Yoakum, Kenedy, Karnes City, Poth, Yorktown, Stockdale,
Kosciusko, Nixon, Runge, Falls City, Smiley, Nordheim, Pandora,
Gillett, Cestohowa, Cheapside, Thomaston, Ezzell and Hochheim.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CST for
south central Texas.
