Special Weather Statement issued February 16 at 11:42PM EST by NWS State College PA
Abundant moisture and a very light east to southeast breeze was
resulting in areas of Dense Fog over the Lower Susquehanna Valley
and surrounding areas.
Visibility will be under one-quarter of a mile in some locations
through 5 AM Friday.
A southerly breeze developing ahead of a cold front will likely
dissipate the dense fog by daybreak Friday.
Use extra caution if you plan to travel overnight and allow extra
time to reach your destination. Use the low beams of your
headlights, reduce your speed and keep plenty of braking distance
between you and the vehicle ahead.
