Description
Senior Citizens (65 years old or older) travel FREE on ALL SEPTA Transit routes (bus, trolley, trackless trolley, and Market Frankford, Broad Street, and Norristown High-Speed Lines). The senior fare for Regional Rail has been eliminated for destinations in PA.

For travel to stations in NJ/DE, 50% of the Weekday fare with a valid form of identification to verify age. Currently, there are two forms of Senior ID accepted to ride SEPTA:

SEPTA Key Senior Fare Card (photo ID)
Valid PA Driver’s License/Non-Driver ID with a magnetic strip on the back
Licenses/Non-Driver ID issued after July 2017 cannot be tapped at the Validator or swiped through the Farebox or Turnstile reader and are NOT valid for travel.
