Special Elections
There are currently three vacancies in the State House for districts in Allegheny County. The 32nd Legislative District is vacant due to the death of former Rep. Tony DeLuca while the 34th and 35th Legislative districts are vacant due to the resignations of now-Congresswoman Summer Lee and Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis. All three special elections will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
Residents are encouraged to pay particular attention to important dates:
Last Day to Register for Special Election
Monday, January 23, 2023 – Office Closes at 5 PM
Last Day to Apply for Absentee or Mail-In Ballot for Special Election
Tuesday, January 31, 2023 – Office Closes at 5 PM
Last Day to Return Absentee or Mail-In Ballot for Special Election
Tuesday, February 7, 2023 – Office Closes at 8 PM
