CRIME WATCH ALERT: January 09, 2023
Shortly before 6PM on 1-09-2023 Crafton PD responded to the Family Dollar on Foster Ave. for a report of a robbery in progress. The responding officers were advised that the actor had left the store just prior to the officer’s arrival and was last observed running behind the Dunkin Donuts. The actor was described as a white male wearing a knee-length black leather jacket, shorts, white shoes, high black socks, a black Pittsburgh Pirates baseball hat and a neck gaiter face covering. The actor made it appear that he was in possession of a firearm however a firearm was never witnessed by the store employees. Nobody was injured and the actor managed to get away with money from the register. The actor was able to disappear in the area of the Crafton-Ingram Shopping Center. If anyone observed this male or a vehicle that he may have gotten in to please contact the Crafton Police Department.
