Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 25 at 11:56AM EST until December 25 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow occurring. Additional snow
accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35
mph resulting in blowing snow.
* WHERE...Northern Erie county.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest lake effect snow has lifted
north over Lake Erie, but light snow will continue through this
afternoon. Wind chills have increased above Wind Chill Advisory
limits. However, sub-zero wind chills will continue through
Monday morning.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
