Hard Freeze Warning issued December 24 at 2:12AM CST until December 25 at 10:00AM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 14.
* WHERE...All of South Central Texas.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM CST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures will climb above freezing
this afternoon, then drop back into the teens and 20s tonight.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
