Wind Chill Advisory issued December 23 at 1:32PM EST until December 24 at 11:00AM EST by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. For the Wind Chill
Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as
20 below zero.
* WHERE...Cumberland and Adams Counties.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and cause
scattered power outages. The cold wind chills could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Limit time outside. Dress in layers and cover exposed skin. Wear
a hat and gloves. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if
precautions are not taken.
