Wind Chill Advisory issued December 22 at 8:55PM EST until December 24 at 11:00AM EST by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Dangerously low wind chills of around 10 below zero
expected. Frequent wind gusts between 35 and 45 mph late Friday
morning through Friday night. Snow showers and icy roads are
likely to accompany an arctic cold front Friday morning.
* WHERE...Dauphin, Lebanon, York and Lancaster Counties.
* WHEN...From 1 PM Friday to 11 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if
precautions are not taken. Treacherous driving conditions are
possible Friday morning. Isolated power outages are possible
Friday due to the strong winds.
Limit time outside. Dress in layers and cover exposed skin. Wear
a hat and gloves. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if
precautions are not taken.
