Winter Weather Advisory issued December 22 at 2:26PM EST until December 22 at 5:00PM EST by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, wet snow. Additional
snow accumulations of up to one inch. For the Wind Chill
Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low
as 25 below zero. Frequent wind gusts between 35 and 45 mph
late Friday morning through Saturday.
* WHERE...Northern Clinton, Northern Lycoming, Southern Clinton
and Southern Lycoming Counties.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 5 PM EST this
afternoon. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 10 AM Friday to 7
PM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches. The cold wind chills
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30
minutes.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on
driving conditions as winter weather impacts will include snow
covered roads and limited visibility.
