Hello friends and residents of East Stroudsburg Borough!
Free parking will be offered in the Borough’s downtown district, from Wednesday, December 21, 2022 through Tuesday, January 3, 2023. This area includes Crystal, Washington from Crystal Street to Starbird Street, South Courtland, and North Courtland Streets. Though meters will be free in the downtown district, the three-hour parking limit at such meters WILL BE enforced.
The Borough Offices and facilities will be closing at early on Friday, December 23rd, and will be closed Monday, December 26th, and Monday, January 2nd. The Recycling Center will be closing at 11:30 on Friday, December 23rd, and will reopen on Tuesday, December 27th.
There is NO change to the garbage collection due to Christmas or New Year’s. Please place your garbage out Monday night, as usual.
The 2023 Recycling Brochures will be mailed to residents in the near future. All information is posted on our website. Borough crews will begin curbside collection of Christmas Tree in January. Remove all decorations, lights, and stands prior to placing your tree at curbside for recycling. Residents may also take their trees to the Recycling Center during its regular business hours. Waste Management is NOT responsible for picking up Christmas trees.
The approved 2023 Borough Budget and the Ordinance fixing the 2023 Real Estate Tax Rate is posted on our website.
Looking ahead, the Council meeting on January 3, 2023 will being at 6:30 p.m. The continuation of the Conditional Use Hearing for the proposed U-Haul, U-Box storage facility on Forge Road will begin at 7:15 p.m., during this Council meeting.
