Water Rate Increase Coming Soon

Description
At the last City Council meeting, an increase was approved in the amount of 12.52% across our current base and usage rates. The rates are to take effect Janurary 1, 2023. These rates will impact your Janurary 2023 bills which will be mailed out in early February 2023 (due February 15th 2023).
Like the trash rates that increased earlier this year, this increase was necessary due to rising industry costs for the maintenance and treatment of potable water distribution systems. Included in this rate increase is an increase in the cost at which we purchase water from our bulk supplier, Bluebonnet WSC.
These new rates will effect all users of the City of Bruceville-Eddy Water System to include the Mayor, all City Councilmembers, and a good portion of our City staff.
