Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 18 at 9:49PM EST until December 19 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Lake effect snow occurring. Additional overnight snow
accumulations of up to two inches.
* WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie counties.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Minor impacts are
possible to the Monday morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow is expected to push back
into Erie County overnight as winds turn more onshore behind a
disturbance. The greatest potential for accumulating snow is
north of an Erie to Wattsburg line, though light accumulations
may occur elsewhere if snow is able to spread farther inland.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
