Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 18 at 7:19PM EST until December 19 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow occurring. Additional snow
accumulations of 1 to locally 4 inches in the most persistent
lake snows, mainly in northeastern portions of Erie County.
* WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie counties.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Some minor impacts
are possible to the Monday morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The greatest overnight snow accumulations
will be north of an Erie to Wattsburg line. Some light
accumulations may occur elsewhere tonight if lake effect snow is
able to push farther inland.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
