Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 17 at 9:56PM EST until December 19 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
of 8 to 12 inches in the most persistent lake snows, especially
in the northern portions of the county. Winds gusting as high
as 30 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie counties.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A band of moderate to heavy lake effect
snow is expected to push onshore into northern Erie County pre-
dawn Sunday. The heaviest snow is expected to occur between 2 AM
and Noon Sunday. Heavy snow will mainly impact locations within
several miles of Lake Erie through Sunday morning. Accumulating
snow will continue Sunday afternoon and Sunday night, but expect
snow bands to push farther inland and lose some intensity after
midday Sunday.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
