Special Weather Statement issued December 6 at 2:36AM EST by NWS State College PA
Patchy light rain is possible through 8 AM today, mainly in the
deeper rural valleys where earlier clear skies and light wind
allowed temperatures to dip into the mid 20s to lower 30s.
Temperatures across the higher terrain will hold mainly in the mid
30s.
Temperatures will rise slightly after the precipitation begins and
road temperatures should stay mainly in the mid 30s or above.
Therefore, any very light ice accumulation would be limited to
elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures will rise above freezing in all locations after 8 AM.
