Snow Squall Warning issued November 18 at 12:53PM EST until November 18 at 1:15PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 1252 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
extending from near Mars to Economy to 8 miles northeast of Avella,
moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 19 and 39.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 62 and 92.
Parkway North between mile markers 8 and 13.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 37 and 62.
Locations impacted include...
Ross Township, McCandless Township, Cranberry, Moon Township,
Franklin Park, Aliquippa, Monaca, Avella, Hampton Township, Robinson
Township, Cecil-Bishop, and Economy.
Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.
