Description
The Township is looking for volunteers to be on the Land Development Ordinance Update Steering Committee. If you are asking what is this … good question! The Township is looking to review and update the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, Grading Ordinance and to review the Stormwater Management Ordinance as a first step of implementing the newly adopted Comprehensive Plan. The Steering Committee will have a vital role in directing the consultant, , assisting with public input, reviewing public feedback, providing input to the consultant, and reviewing draft documents. This is your chance to participate and have a say in how the Township is developed over the next ten years.

Steering committee members are asked to commit to attending evening meetings throughout the ordinance update process, which is estimated to last 18 -24 months. Committee members will include two Township supervisors, three members of the planning commission, Township residents as well as representatives from the Township’s development community. It is important that a broad range of Township stakeholders be involved in this process. The Township aims to have a steering committee that is reflective of the diversity seen within Marshall and encourages all to apply.

If you are interested in serving on the steering committee please submit a letter of interest, explaining who you are, any knowledge of land development ordinances/experience working with them, and why you would like to be on the steering committee, to Nicole Hanson, Planning Director, Marshall Township, 525 Pleasant Hill Road, Wexford, PA 15090 or you may email it to nhanson@twp.marshall.pa.us.

The Township will accept letters of interest until December 5, 2022.
