Special Weather Statement issued November 16 at 11:15PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 1114 PM EST, a snow squall was located over Emsworth, or near
Franklin Park, moving east at 35 mph.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Ross Township, McCandless
Township, Monroeville, Franklin Park, Shaler Township, Plum, West
Mifflin, North Side Pittsburgh, and Baldwin.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 36 and 58.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 58 and 75.
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 13.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 61 and 84.
Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this dangerous
snow squall. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads
are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the
squall passes your location.
