Lake Effect Snow Warning issued November 16 at 3:46AM EST until November 17 at 10:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow
accumulations of 7 to 11 inches expected in the most persistent
lake effect snows.

* WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie counties.

* WHEN...From 7 PM EST this evening to 10 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions will impact the Thursday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow will develop late this
afternoon into this evening. Snow will increase in intensity
overnight tonight, when snowfall rates will increase to one inch
per hour or greater. Snow will wane in intensity during the day
Thursday, before the most organized snow bands start lifting
north over the lake by Thursday evening.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

A Lake Effect Snow Warning is issued when heavy lake effect snow
is expected or occurring. During lake effect snow, the weather
can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a
few miles away. Visibilities can vary greatly and can drop to
near zero in the heavier lake effect snow bands. If you will be
traveling in the warned area be prepared for rapid changes in
weather, visibility and road conditions. Local travel
restrictions may be in effect.

Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on
driving conditions as winter weather impacts Pennsylvania
